![]() Nothing seemed as calculated and thought out, but this could be because Joe was not the one making the decisions for the couple. In the last two or three episodes, I found myself trying to keep up with the fast paced nature that Joe and Love developed this season. I felt like I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Season 3 Review: While I watched this season of YOU as quickly as I watched the others, I did not find it as captivating as the first two seasons. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I will update this review once I'm done with this season. ![]() doesn't everyone know that wireless baby monitors can be picked up with most basic of scanning devices? I bet that is going to come back and bite them in the butt. THAT IS A MAJOR SHIFT IN THE WHOLE PREMISE of the show!!!. Joes' motivations are no longer trying to contain his murderous impulses but rather to contain his adulterous impulses. I also feel that this is not consistant with Joes' character that has been established. Almost as if the subtext is taken straight from the BLM website advocating to ," destroy the western notion of the nuclear family" before they realized that people actually read their mission statement before they took it down. Not only do I despise adultery but it makes me sick to my stomach how it is portrayed as the ," new normal". WTF? The other thing which really is the main thing that I have a problem with is that so much of this seasons premise is based on everyone committing adultery. It bothers me when they paint a portrait of say the incredibly vain and shallow neighborhood vamp/villain and then do an about face and she suddenly is spouting Gandalf level wisdom and advice. Currently on episode 7 of season 3 and I have some misgivings already. There were so many textured personalities that were put on display it felt like how one of those cupcakes must have tasted baked by Love. Tee hee although, could have gone further but would probably risk cancellation for the sacrilege. I also really enjoyed the spectacle of spoofing the incredibly shallow people in L.A. The supporting cast was also top notch and well fleshed out. With a more 3 dimensional love interest who was extremely well cast. That being said, I would give season 1 a 6 because it had not yet quite gelled into its own at that point Season 2 was a vast improvement over the first. The first season was intriguing with a few comparative devices to the Dexter series but quite forgivable to bring the genius of that show to a younger audience. I oftentimes have to search for the title of certain shows or films on the internet in the hopes to find a MetaCritic link. incredibly difficult to find this title with the MetaCritic search engine. The first season was intriguing with a few comparative devices to the Dexter First thing. The acting is very good as are all the technicals… editing, directing, casting, etc. ![]() As a strange plot device, the psychopath has an inexplicable habit of keeping items that prove he has committed murder - which occasionally are discovered by others. The psychopath’s dichotomy of behaviors plays out over the first season and culminates as the first season concludes. It is that inconsistency of abnormal psychological behaviors mixed with normal behaviors that make the story interesting. ![]() From an abnormal psychological disorder analysis, this particular mentally ill individual might not quite fit into what might be taught in a college introductory course in psychology. The plots are intriguing and hold your attention. The story demonstrates how an individual might plausibly convince himself that murdering annoying and selfish people is morally justifiable – or, perhaps justified within the context of loving and protecting someone. The plots are intriguing "You" is a psychological study of a psychopath. ![]() "You" is a psychological study of a psychopath. ![]()
